A Handy Way to Identify Textiles

Description

A three page typewritten document entilted 'A Handy Way to Identify Textiles'. Produced by the British Man-Made Fibres Federation, this document describes how, by using a few 'yarns unravelled from a seam edge' a burn test can be conducted to identify the probable fibre content. The document acknowledges Mr.J.E.Ford of the Cotton Silk and Man-made Fibres Research Association for the compilation of the identification guide, and to 'Drapery & Fashion Weekly' who published a similar guide in 1961
