A box containing product sheets, price list, material sample and DVD relating to TEMPUR mattresses and pillows, issued by TEMPUR® in 2011. TEMPUR® is made from an open celled viscoelastic foam, combining two properties, 'viscous' implying that the material deforms slowly when exposed to an external force, and 'elastic', implying that once a deforming force has been removed the material will return to its original configuration. The exact formula is a carefully guarded secret. It was first created by NASA in the 1970s to cushion astronauts during lift-off. The material absorbs and distrubutes pressure, is engineered to react to body temperature and minimises motion transfer, all qualities which makes it particularly suited to use in mattresses and pillows.
