Dutch costume doll

Description

A doll with a head made from injection moulded polystyrene and torso,limbs and clogs made from injection moulded polyethylene. The doll has sleeping eyes and moveable limbs but is intended for display rather than play. It is dressed in a colourful vertical striped skirt, black top and apron and a white lace trimmed bonnet. The shoes are made to represent clogs. A woven label is stitched inside the skirt and reads 'Fashioned by Linda. Regd. Made in Hong Kong. This doll is thought to have been made in the 1960s
