Description
A three tier folding cake stand with plate stands, feet and handle made from compression moulded phenol formaldehyde and a chromed metal frame. Based on a traditional wooden design, this example is thought to date from the 1930s. The phenol formaldehyde has a light brown coloured base with darker fleks. The stand was a family piece, passed blieved to have been passed from mother to daughter in the 1950s.
