Description
A rectangular plaque, commemorating the death of Emma, Queen Mother of the Netherlands, in 1934. The rectangular plaque has a central roundal containing a profile portrait, moulded in relief surrounded by the words 'EMMA KONINGIN MOEDER' and beneath, the dates of her birth and death. This plaque is made from Philite, a compression moulded urea formaldehyde made by Philips at their Eindhoven factory in the Netherlands c. 1934. The plaque is pierced along the top edge to accommodate something by which the plaque can be hung.
