Hydropol 30201 HWS

A sample of Hydropol (TM) Smart Polymer 30201 HWS. A highly functional, single layer film, twice as strong as high-density polyethylene of equivalent gauge with high gas and moisture barrier properties and can be printed on directly, avoiding the traditional Corona treatment. Hydropol (TM) offers multiple end-of-life solutions: it can be recycled through a simple chemical process with the polymer being recovered for reuse, is compatible with anaerobic digestion and composting and is harmless to marine life, eventually dissolving in water. Initially aimed at mainstream food and non-food packaging, the PVOH pellet has been designed to work in standard polyethylene equipment so blown film manufacturers can start using it without having to invest in new machinery. It is FDA approved, with trials taking place in the healthcare and construction sectors.
