Singapore polymer bank note

Description

A ten dollar polymer banknote from Singapore, printed on 'Guardian', a non-porous and non-fibrous substrate which is impervious to liquids and difficult to tear. 'Guardian' is made by extruding and layering polypropylene and other polyolefins. Polymer banknotes incorporate a number of sophisticated security features to deter counterfeiting. This design of banknote was first issued in 2005 and features Yusof Ishak, the first President of Singapore on the front and sporting images on the reverse.
