Description

A pair of variable focus spectacles made by Eyejusters Ltd. of Oxford. Using SlideLens (TM) technology the strength of the lens is altered by a small dial located on the arms of the glasses. The lenses are made from impact resistant polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and coated with an abraision-resistant UV-cured lacquer. Each lens can be adjusted independently. Each lens is made from two enclosed sliding lenses which, when the dial is turned, give a different shape and strength. They are adjustable from zero to +3 diopters. In this example the multi-layer frames are made from stainless steel and cellulose acetate. The glasses are cased and boxed.
