Description

A small American back comb made from multi-coloured cellulose nitrate, created by the processing together of the left-over odments of the material at the end of the day. The heading of this comb is set with many different coloured paste stones, reflecting the colours in the body of the comb. It is thought to have been made in the first quarter of the 20th century.
