Description

This object is made is showing signs of deterioration, but it will remain as part of the museum collection for a study to be made of its condition over time. Due to its unstable nature we regret that it is not available for loan but may be viewed in the museum on request. A pair of No. 12 knitting needles made from yellow extruded casein formaldehyde with cream coloured tops. The needles appear to be unused with the paper binding label still in place. c. 1940s. This pair of needles were acquired with the knitting needle box AIBDC : 006916.1
