Description

Sample of STI's synthetic grass, Poligras Olympia, made for hockey pitches. It consists of polyethylene fibre with a pile of 12 mm and a denier of 7,500 bonded to a hybrid emulsion which is laid on a shock absorbing layer of recycled tyres and polyurethane binder. Please see AIBDC : 006523.4. It provides improved play performance leading to a faster game and reduced surface friction making it safer. To be kept in prime condition it requires irrigation. Poligras's fibres are such that they require 50% less water than other available yarns. Poligras Olympia, first manufactured in 2008, was used on the hockey pitches of the London 2012 Olympic Games in blue and pink. Please see AIBDC: 006523.1&2.
