Description

A cylindrical Dee Gee bottle warmer with an electric heating element in the base. The power switch is situated part way along the cable. This compression moulded phenol formaldehyde warmer was manufactured in England by David Griffin Ltd of Wimborne Road, Poole c. 1950. Instructions for use and care are printed on the base. The cable has a green plastic covering and is probably a replacement.

printed: "A 'Dee Gee' Product. Bottle Warmer No. 170. For use up to 240 volts A.C. only. Pour 1-3 teaspoonsfull of water into the warmer. Stand the bottle or other vessel in the warmer and switch on the current. Steaming stops when the food is heated. Always switch off after use. The quantity of water in the warmer can be adjusted to suit the amount of food to be heated or the temperature required. A little practice tells how much is needed. Keep Clean by rinsing with cold water. To clean lime deposit, pull out the plug , unscrew the perforated plate and scrub out thoroughly. Never use soap or washing powder. Caution. To ensure safe working, this appliance must only be connected to a 5 amp or 15 amp 3pin plug as detailed in the leaflet. Made in England." (label)
