Bandalasta cup and saucer, 2 of 2

Description

One of two stacking Bandalasta Ware cup and saucer sets in the classic marbled effect pattern. Bandalasta ware, manufactured by Brookes and Adams, was introduced in the 1920s. Aimed at the then fashionable picnic market, the range increased in popularity after being displayed at Harrods, London. The marble effect was achieved by manually scattering coloured moulding granules onto granules of the base colour before closing the mould. This is a nesting or stacking cup with a ring shaped handle and is part of a set.
