Description
A large yellow lamp in the shape of a toy jack. This lamp can be stacked with others, sat on, or used as the base of a coffee table. It was designed in 1994 and received the Millennium Mark Award in 1997. It was the first product manufactured by Tom Dixon's manufacturing company, Eurolounge. Its source of inspiration was a plastic waste-paper basket and it is made up of six such forms. Each one was made in a single mould, rotated. The designer was attracted to this means of production because of its relative cheapness as each mould can be rotated in standard equipment. This example dates from 2007.
