Description
A lift and squeeze bottle for Method dish soap. This unique bottle design with its bulbous head, slim waist and flat base does not require inverting to use. Instead, the liquid soap is dispensed from the base when the unit is squeezed. Blow moulded in transluscent high density polyethylene (HDPE), the exterior surface is textured for improved grip. In practice, however, the rigity of the bottle requires strength to expel the soap which becomes difficult to control and the valve was prone to leakage. Designed by Karim Rashid in 2002 and intended to be put on display in the kitchen, the modern, sculptural, anthropomorphic form represents democratic design available to all.
