Description
A brown tomato shaped ketchup bottle made of PE (polyethylene) and designed in the 1950s by Morris Friedman as the first squeezable food dispensers. These tomato sauce bottles were mass-produced and were commonly found in homes as well as restaurants and diners. Polyethelene is one of the simplest and most commonly encountered plastics, it is light and has a good balance between impact strength and flexibility. It is also food safe, has good chemical resistance, low moisture permeability, and can cope with moderately hot and cold temperatures. It is therefore suitable to be used as food containers.
