Description

A cream-coloured iconic flying saucer or sputnik style Sofono electric heater with sharp angular legs. The handles and dial on the sides are made of compression moulded urea formaldehyde, this material as it has non-coductive properties and will stay cool even when the heater is on. It is thought to be designed by Ralph Ormiston in Scotland in the 1950s. This example has been decorated with floral trasfers which have peeled due to use.
