A 1990s, T-shirt dress from the Gaultier Jean's range of clothing. The range, which was first introduced in 1992, comprised predominantly denim garments and garments with a street style influence. This particular garment is a good illustration of this. It is black and printed with the illustration of a pair of denim shorts supported by a pair of red braces and has front and rear images printed on the front and reverse of the garment. The dress has long sleeves and a stand up collar. The heavyweight fabric is 95% cotton with the addition of 5% Lycra. Lycra has exceptional elasticity and its use helps garments retain shape and helps to improve fit.
