Photo caption: This underside close-up view of the Goldring Magnetic Turnover Pick-Up shows the mechanism which permits it to bo used for both ordinary speeds and long-playing records. When the position of the turnover cartridge is changed, the weight is automatically adjusted. At 78 r.p.m. stylus pressure is 20 grams and at 33 1/2 r.p.m. it is 8 grams. Tone-compensation is also provided by a special 3-way matching unit. The main component parts of this pick-up are moulded from Bakelite material, X.20/5, and a small Bakelite Laminated protector plate can also be seen incorporated at the neck.
