Description
A green coloured dental floss container manufactured for Wisdom. Injection moulded in polypropylene, this single moulded clam-shell case uses living hinges to fold the three sections into shape. The 100m length of nylon (polyamide) dental tape is wound onto a spool that slots into place in the centre of the case. It is cut by a small metal blade that slots into place over two grooves at the top of the case. Everything is held in place when the packaging is assembled but nothing is permanently fixed so that it can all be easily taken apart for recycing at end-of-life. The Wisdom company produce oral care products and was originally established in 1780 as Addis by its founder William Addis, who is believed to have produced the first mass-produced toothbrush.
