Description
A clarinet designed by Graham Lyons for children wishing to take up the instrument. It is much lighter than a conventional claritnet with finger holes which are smaller and closer together. The one piece body, bell and mouthpiece are made of durable acrylonitrile butadene styrene (ABS), with key pads in silicone rubber and metal springs. It has been designed with parts which can be easlily replaced. This clarinet won the British Design Award in 1993. This example is complete with its polypropylene tubular carrying case with textile straps. The instrument has been hand inscribed by previous owners with NMPAT and V21
